Silvat - Stoneware Dinner Plate Set
Silvat - Stoneware Dinner Plate Set
Manjunath presses each rim once by hand while the clay is still soft. The crease lands a little differently every time, so no two plates in a set are the same.

Silvat (सिलवट), Hindi for a crease in cloth. The rim of each dinner plate carries a single crease, like linen gathered between two fingers. Fired at 1180°C and finished in a matte glaze, with fine speckles that settle differently on every piece.
Color: Dune Olive
Material: Stoneware
Diameter: 28 cm (11")
Finish: Matte with fine speckles
Suited for: A quiet dinner at home, a slow weekend brunch, or the evenings you host.
How does the surface feel?
The matte glaze is soft and dry under your fingertips. The speckles sit within the glaze, so you see them before you feel them. Lift the plate from its curved side and it sits naturally in your hand.
