silvat (सिलवट), hindi for a crease in cloth. the rim of each side plate carries a single crease, like linen gathered between two fingers. fired at 1180°c and finished in a matte glaze, with fine speckles that settle differently on every piece.

suited for: a slow breakfast, dessert after dinner, or small plates on the evenings you host.

how does the surface feel?

the matte glaze is soft and dry under your fingertips. the speckles sit within the glaze, so you see them before you feel them. lift the plate from its curved side and it sits naturally in your hand.
